Lightroom Tutorials
Complete 10 tutorials by Sept. 20th. I will have a Teams assignment to collect the screenshots.
In Lightroom, go to “Learn” (has a lightbulb icon). In the options above, change the level to “beginner”.
Choose any tutorials you would like to try!
During the tutorial, make sure you read the info provided with each step, so you know why you’re changing that particular item.
IMPORTANT: When you have completed the tutorial, you will get a congratulations/completed message...before you click to close it…. use the Snipping Tool to take a screenshot of your full screen at this time!!
Rename each image file with the title of the tutorial (ex: Light and Airy Macro Magic). Save to your OneDrive in a folder you should title, “Sept LR Tutorials”.
To turn in you will share the link to your OneDrive folder containing your 10 screenshots.

Smartphone Photography Project: Shooting in B&W
We will go outside together as a class to photograph for this project. There are three parts to this project: shooting, blog post, share on gallery wall.
Part I
Set your smartphone camera app to a black and white filter (see image from yesterday’s post).
Select one other smartphone photography tip from your previous assignment. Keep this tip in mind but feel free to explore beyond it.
Take your time composing your shots. Consider other perspectives and angles.
Take at least 10 different photos. (Of course you can take more!)
Upon our return to our classroom, upload your photos to your OneDrive account, import with a charger cable, or email them to yourself.
Part II
Choose the best 5 photos to post on your blog AS A GALLERY (see screenshots below). Title it the same as my title above, “Smartphone Photography Project: Shooting in B&W”.
Add a reflection paragraph telling me how you felt about shooting in this manner + which was your favorite photo that you captured and why.
Publish, view your post, copy the link, and attach in Teams.
Part III
Select your best photo to share with the class on this Padlet “galley wall”:
https://padlet.com/delasa/b-w-smartphone-photography-4b6q93uno50bhwp7
Click plus sign (+) circle icon on the bottom right.
Include your first name, last initial AND your class period in the subject.
Use the upload icon (first icon) to add your photo.
Click Publish. Yay!
Today’s Agenda:
-IF you have completed everything, you may go outside for 15 minutes today to photograph using your smartphone, using the BLACK AND WHITE filter.
-Revisit your summary of the 13 Smartphone Photography Tips Video to practice one other tip while photographing in B&W mode. Decide which tip before you head out!
-You will have to check out a photo pass, and you can only wander in this immediate quad area (G/C Quad-upstairs and downstairs). YOU MAY NOT go near the restrooms or lunch quad!
-Take at least 5 photos.
-Upload to your OneDrive app on your phone or via your Internet browser on your phone (reception is spotty, you may need to do this outside the classroom door). Or, if you have your charger cable, you can try to import directly to your computer.
