Friday 9/4/20 Photo Color Grids

Now that you have looked at some awesome color photographs taken by professionals, it’s time to take some pics on your own. During this assignment you are going to create color grids.

  1. First you will need to pick your 4 favorite colors.

  2. Next walk around your house, yard, and street and find anything that is your chosen colors.

  3. Get close before you take your shot. Try and blur out the background (get in close to the subject, tap screen to select focus, etc). Take 6–9 SEPARATE photos of a chosen color. You will pick the best 6 to use for each color grid. YOU ARE NOT FINDING PICTURES ONLINE FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT.

  4. Do not make your 6 photos all of the same topic (ex.green using all plants), and no flat subject matter like artwork, posters, carpet, etc. You must mix it up and find DIFFERENT objects of that one color.

  5. Make sure the color is the dominant focal point in the photo.

  6. Edit your photographs on Snapseed to make colors pop. (exposure, highlights, shadows, vibrance, saturation, etc.)

  7. Put your best 6 EDITED photographs of a color into a collage using Pic Collage. Watch this YouTube videos which show you how to do this: PicCollage app.

  8. Go back to Teams Assignments and upload your 4 photo color grids!

** THIS ASSIGNMENT REQUIRES YOU TO TAKE NEW PICTURES. DON’T USE PHOTOGRAPHS YOU FOUND ONLINE. YOU SHOULD HAVE A TOTAL OF 24 PICTURES (6 PICTURES OF EACH OF YOUR FOUR COLORS.)

Due by end of the day on Monday 9/7/20
